City of Spring Hill Development Department Outreach and Engagement Meetings for Business Community

The City of Spring Hill has scheduled three Development Department Outreach and Engagement Discussion Meetings for the Spring Hill business community. The meeting dates are as follows: Wednesday, April 27 from 11am-12pm; Tuesday, May 3 from 11am-12pm; and Thursday, May 12 from 11am-12pm.

The purpose of the three Development Department Outreach and Engagement Discussion Meetings are to:

• Introduce the City Engineer and to shed light on how to navigate the planning process, what information is critical, what the city looks for during site plan and construction plan review to include pre-construction meetings.
• Obtain feedback from the business community on the City's engineering checklist
• Gain input and share how the City and businesses can can work together to improve the planning and plans review process.
• Identify expectations from the business community.

The City of Spring Hill would like for the business community to review the Engineering Plans Review Checklist (download here) and share with us what works, may not work, and what could be improved (and do the same with the planning process they are familiar with).

The Development Department Outreach and Engagement discussions will occur over a three week period and the first meeting will be a more open seating discussion. The second meeting will be stations set-up discussing specific portions of the planning and review process and the third discussion will be a report out sharing what we heard from the business community and how we have incorporated their information into the planning and review process.

The information which is created by working with the business community will then be presented to the Joint PC/BOMA in July 2022 during an open meeting.
